Cobra Libre Vibrator for Men with ED: Review
This review was written by a member of the Touchy Subject community. He is 14 months post-Prostatectomy. Please be aware this is one man’s opinion. Your experience may be different.
The objective of my review is to assist men who like myself are experiencing erectile dysfunction. My aim is to find devices that induce an erection, or orgasm, or both (whether rehabilitating solo, or with a partner).
Cobra Libre II by Fun Factory
The Cobra Libre by Fun Factory is touted as a ‘penis head stimulator.’
If I’d used this toy before my surgery, I would have loved it. It provides an incredible feeling of my glans and frenulum being surrounded by vibrating bliss. With a firm and erect penis I would be able to fill the Cobra’s opening and penetrate deep into the toy to reach the vibrating sweet spot.
Unfortunately, I am no longer that man.
I am still in search of my “New Normal” with a penis that needs more than simple vibrations to arouse an erection, keep me erect, and generate an orgasm.
Fun Factory’s website promotes this as suitable for a flaccid penis… but I disagree.
Trying to insert my soft penis into the full length of the device, and over the vibrating pad, is near impossible. Imagine attempting to place a glove on a hand of someone who is asleep!
For me, the vibrations on the glans did feel fantastic, but my floppy friend did not rise to full erection status to achieve the best outcome. Other men may respond differently to the vibrations than myself. But for me, this device only led to vibration numbness.
Another issue is that my masturbation rehabilitation practice involves stroking my shaft and engaging in Jelqing, which this toy hinders.
A Touchy Subject note: watch this short video explaining ‘jelqing’ here.
The biggest drawback: Climacturia
I experience slight Climacturia (urine leakage upon arousal/orgasm). The Cobra has not been designed for this issue and this is the biggest drawback
A Touchy Subject note: watch a masterclass on Climacturia here.
This toy is made from silicone and designed as a penetrating device, therefore water-based lubricant is recommended.
Initial insertion with a half hard-on provides sensational vibrations. But before I reach my "new normal" orgasm, I experience uncontrollable releases of urine. This release of urine dissolves the lubricant, which at first makes the sensation more slippery, but then…
This extra slipperiness seals the Cobra’s opening tube causing my glans to be suctioned into the device, while at the same time drying out the lubricant. So at this point, there is unlubricated silicone vibrating against my aroused and sensitive glans. Ouch. This is very irritating and uncomfortable. It is at this point I curse my prostate cancer surgery and give up.
The Verdict
Even though it is a well-designed device and possibly provides amazing stimulation to a pre-prostatectomy or a fully responding penis, it did not work for me.
To spare you the frustration of being reminded of what you used to have vs. what you now have, I would not recommend this device if you have Erectile Dysfunction or Climacturia.
