Sex After Prostate Cancer: Sex Therapist Counselling

How to find a sexuality counsellor/ sex therapist:

Please note: sex therapy/counselling is an unregulated field in most countries. To find a sex therapist near you, access an accredited body or ask your doctor for a referral.

Also - rapport with your therapist is an extremely important factor in determining the positive outcomes of your work together. So keep in mind that finding the right therapist can be an ‘auditioning’ process.

If you’re not clicking with the first therapist you see, don’t blame yourself or think this means therapy ‘isn’t for you’.

This is a normal part of the process. You can always ask the therapist you’re seeing for a referral to someone else who may be more suited to you.
